Birthday Parties (All ages)

Celebrate your special day at the Zoo! Our popular Zoo birthday parties are fun for all ages – including parents who get to enjoy the party with the help of a facilitator. All parties include an educational animal tour, fish feeding, cake, ice cream, juice, water, and a take home craft. Customize your party by adding “Animal Mosaic Ornaments” as your party activity, or choosing one of the four menu options below. (Please note: We are no longer able to accommodate outside catering and food for birthday parties.)

Prices are based on a minimum guest count of 20 individuals, ages 1 and above. Maximum guest count is 45 individuals. An additional fee of $100 will be assessed if your guest count exceeds the 45 person limit, up to 50 people maximum. If your guest headcount is greater than 50, please contact Taste of the Wild Catering at 778-0932.

When you make a reservation we can put a hold on the date of your choice for seven days. At the end of the seven days we will need your registration form returned to us with the initial payment for 20 guests. Your final head count will need to be provided to us on the Monday prior to your party date. The guest count given to us at this time is the minimum number of guests you will be charged for on the day of your party.

Parties Include:

•    ½ sheet cake decorated with your child’s name and a picture of one of our animals.
•    Ice cream for all guests
•    Fruit Punch and water available throughout the party
•    All paper products, silverware, cups and napkins for all food and drink we provide
•    A party facilitator who will set up, break down, and lead your party
•    A paper craft for the kids
•    A guided tour accompanied by a fish & turtle feeding at the lemur pond

Dates:

Saturdays and Sundays, 10:00am-12:00pm or 1:00-3:00pm
Please make reservations at least 2 months in advance, as these times sell out quickly.

“Animal Mosaic Ornaments” by local artist Leah Rigg! Let each guest paint their own lasting mosaic memory of your child’s special day at the Honolulu Zoo! Modeled after the beautiful mosaic walls at the Honolulu Zoo, this is a truly unique and fun party activity and birthday favor that your guests can’t enjoy anywhere else! Fee: $14 per ornament (fee includes mosaic, paints, brushes, glazing, and firing)

Costs: Member rates refer to Tiger level membership or above.

You can bring your own decorations, but remember that banners, bubbles, balloons, streamers and balls may accidentally get into an animal exhibit and are not allowed in the zoo.

POLICIES:

Registration is on a first come, first served basis. If a class is full, you will be placed on the waiting list. If we cannot provide a space for you we will reschedule you or return your payment. We do not refund for missed or partially missed days. Please note that some elements of our programs may change due to animal and staff availability. We reserve the right to cancel a program if enrollment is too low.

FAMILY PROGRAMS – you may cancel up to 10 days prior to the program, minus a $20 servicing fee. Your entire payment is forfeited if you cancel less than 10 days before the start of the program. When possible, we will reschedule you.

BIRTHDAY PARTIES – you may reschedule/cancel up to 10 days prior to the party date, minus a $50 servicing fee. Your entire payment is forfeited if you cancel less than 10 days prior to the party. An additional fee of $100 will be assessed if your guest count exceeds the 45 person limit.

Program discounts are given to HZS premium memberships only (Flamingo/Basic Family Pass excluded).
